Special edition produced the same year as a cloth edition specifically for Grosvenor School in Nottingham. Intricate gilt patterns of spine and cover edges. Insignia of school, an oval with school name and location with the motto "Manners Make the Man" in the center. Greek with English translation. Few dust spots.
About the Seller
Julie Goldman has been collecting books all her life. As a child, she spent many days haunting the used book stores on 4th Avenue in NYC with her father. Most collectors become booksellers out of necessity, and Goldman began selling about 15 years ago. The library lions are the pair of stone lions who guard the New York Public Library.
