Hardcover with dust jacket. 39 color illustrations and 165 black and white. 230 pp. An illustrated biography of Pyle the writer, illustrator and founder of the Brandywine School. Contributing stories, pictures and cover designs to leading periodicals, he also wrote for children and adults, such as Robin Hood. He also founded a school and taught gifted artists such as Maxfield Parrish and N.C. Wyeth.
