As described by
Recipe for a Magic Childhood by Mary Ellen Chase. New York: Macmillan, 1953. 22 pages, with five line drawings by George and Doris Hauman printed in green ink. A lovely reminiscence about her childhood in Maine by a very fine regional writer. A fine copy in slightly edge-rubbed printed boards, issued without a dust jacket.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
