Why We Love This

Bell's Cathedral Series: Hereford, Lincoln, Norwich, Oxford, Peterborough, Winchester, edited by Gleeson White and Edward F. Strange. London: George Bell Sons, 1897-1898. Six volumes, First Editions, each with between 110 and 150 pages, approximately 40 black-and-white illustrations, plus plans of the cathedrals. Original owner's bookplate in each volume. In fine condition and strikingly bound in green cloth with a complex Art Nouveau design on all sides.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
