Why We Love This

The Title Market by Emily Post. New York: Dodd, Mead, 1909. First Edition. 336 pages. Six illustrations by J.H. Gardner Soper, printed in sepia. The fourth of Post's romantic novels, all of them predating her books on etiquette, this one set in Italy. Light wear, endpapers lightly browned. A very good copy in blue-green cloth, slightly rubbed.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
