History of the Conquest of Mexico with a Preliminary View of the Ancient Mexican Civilization and the Life of the Conqueror Hernando Cortes by William H. Prescott. Philadelphia: David McKay, 1890s. In three volumes. 1,680 pages total. Brown cloth with gilt, top edges yellow, each volume with pictorial frontispiece. Very nice Art Nouveau set. Boards lightly rubbed, some light age-toning to interiors, small bottom tip of Vol. III title page torn off, volumes clean and sound.
