Why We Love This

The Foxhound by Roger D. Williams. NY: The Macmillan Co., 1932 (1914). 140 pages, tan and green illustrated dust jacket, yellow cloth with black lettering and illus., 2 b line drawings. Author describes fox hounds, breeding raising, training hunting, feeding and a chapter on diseases and preparing for bench shows. Jacket spine has darkened and there are small losses along edges. Clean, bright boards. Interior fore-edges have some light foxing. Binding sound.

About L. Brook Rare Books

I've been a dealer in rare books and art for over 30 years. I spent my early years training and providing animals for films, stage and TV. It was great fun, and evolved into a love for finding rare books and art, with a bias towards things "dog, horse and cat." I look for rarity, condition, and price when deciding which items to offer for sale. Uniqueness and value are what will drive my site—and although my love of animals is obvious, I strive to offer items that are diverse and exciting.
