Jason Oliver Nixon & John Loecke
"Back in the days of the pharaohs, the dead kings were buried in pyramids. We went to Egypt a few years back, and it was really fun seeing so many pyramids although it was kind of weird to see a KFC outpost right across the street from the Sphinx and the big old Egyptology museum in downtown Cairo needed a good scrub. We climbed into one of the pyramids and in the dead center was this dude who tried to sell me a coconut carved up to look like Nefertiti with her pet monkey. I am not making this up. I almost bought the Nefertiti coconut-cum-monkey because it was such a freaky moment, but John wouldn't give me the currency to complete the transaction at the point of sale. Well, here are modern-day pyramids of a sort in the form of bamboo-style ceramic table lamps that are vintage and fabulous. Simple white paper shades are the icing on the cake of this intoxicating twosome. Newly wired and working.”
