Why We Love This

"John and I had these glorious cotton pillows crafted from textiles that we picked up in Turkey a few years back. We love the tassels on the two edges that add a bit of sass. In fact, these were once Turkish towels, but now these 16" squares boast down-feather inserts and are supremely chic and cozy. Down and feather inserts with hidden zipper closures.

John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon are the dynamic duo behind Madcap Cottage, their Brooklyn-based interior design firm. Known for their whimsical use of color and pattern, the Madcap gents scour the world for eclectic finds that capture their unique and gimlet-eyed view of the world. Imagine a British country house that pairs Granny’s antiques and a spirited dash of chinoiserie chic with a side of Moroccan marvelous and Indian élan. "If you are looking for beige and boring,” says Jason, "go bark up someone else’s tree.”
