Antique French oil on canvas by Henri Cauchois (1850-1911). Cauchois exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1874. He was also a member of the Société des Artistes Français and was awarded bronze medals in 1898 and a silver medal in 1904. Original ornate gold frame.

Since opening her gallery in Washington, D.C., almost 20 years ago, Susan Calloway has developed a following that ranges from young couples buying their first “real” work of art to celebrated interior designers like Tom Pheasant and Frank Babb Randolph. Her clients, be they first-timers or seasoned collectors, benefit from her sense of style, refined taste, and unswerving commitment to quality. Susan's L.A. based daughter, Anna Calloway, has recently joined the business, and represents the gallery on the West Coast.
