Why We Love This

"19th-century large model of a gypsy wagon, originally on display in a palace in Gujarat, a state in western Indian. It is truly a rare, one-of-a-kind piece great for a collector of Indian artifacts. The gypsy wagon was clearly built by a master craftsman with extraordinary detail and metal work throughout. It is an exact copy, just smaller, of a life size gypsy wagon from same era in the 19th century. The two bulls carrying the wagon are included. These bulls are vintage, most likely form the 1930s."

A native of Cody, WY, Russell Johnson found his true calling on a trip to Buenos Aires while visiting one of the most inspiring flea markets he’d ever encountered. The multilingual maverick instantly knew what he had to do: In 1997 he launched Russell Johnson Imports with an eclectic line of vintage objects that were an instant hit among designers and the media alike. In this specially curated sale Russell shares an amazing collection of authentic architectural elements, antique furniture, accessories, and art from India and other parts of the world.
