Beautiful Herman Kähler ceramic converted into a lamp with silverplated fittings by Paul Laszlo for the Corolla George estate in Los Angeles. Recently rewired and restored with a new custom silk lampshade with a cotton casement in the spirit of the original. Circa 1950.

Patrick Dragonette established his LA showroom in 1996 after an earlier foray onto the stage. “I attended theater school in New York and thought I’d be an actor,” says Dragonette, “but I have always been drawn to antiques and design.” In addition to owning one of the country’s top designer resources for high-end midcentury furniture, art, and accessories, Dragonette tackles the role of interior designer. Among his commissions: orchestrating an astonishing collection of midcentury pieces for a Hal Levitt house in Trousdale Estates.
