Why We Love This

Oblong Old Sheffield plate (fusion of sterling silver and copper, made between 1740 and 1840) soup tureen, made in England, circa 1795. The tureen has a removable liner and is hand-chased with wide fluting. The tureen has applied French gadroon borders with shells. It stands on four large bent knee lion paw feet.
