As described by Billy Blue Eye

Monmouth Western Pottery Stoneware Company of Monmouth, Illinois, known for crockery and stoneware jugs, produced art pottery from 1900 into the early 1940s. This trophy vase has a rich brown glaze, a fluted, scalloped rim and eared handles. Two original labels are still attached, one on the bottom and one partial label on the front that reads "Monmouth Pottery, will not leak." (We should certainly hope so!)
