Knud Nielsen Company
Rimmed with verdant moss, these three wire baskets, each a different size, make wonderful planters or armatures for centerpieces.
Knud Nielsen learned the art of foliage preservation in Denmark, where he lived before emigrating to the United States in 1911. In fact, he ultimately moved to Alabama, where the company he founded remains based, because of its wealth of flora. His sons continued to grow the business, until it became the world’s largest company devoted exclusively to dried flowers and other materials--and one of the most artistically distinctive as well.
