San Francisco’s Antique Art Exchange was founded in 1995 by Keith Dieterich and Howard Settle. The shop was an immediate success, promptly credited by design legend Tony Hail in a Town Country article as having "practically nothing ugly." Today its clientele boasts heads of state, politicians, billionaires, writers, artists, couturiers, nobility, celebs, dealers, and (naturally) designers, all of whom flock to the vast, dog-friendly Design District showroom to shop for antiquities, modern pieces, and everything in between.
