A skilled jack-of-all-trades, Quy Nguyen assisted a Texas-based sculptor, honed his lacquering skills as a furniture finisher, arranged flowers, worked at the Cove Landing antiques store, and trolled flea markets and Brimfield stalls for Martha Stewart Living before becoming a style editor at Elle Decor. He’s an avid collector of antiques--from Wedgwood basalt to blown-glass whimsies and Victorian birdcages--but considers himself merely a custodian of it all; he’s happiest learning from things, living with them, and passing them on.
