Why We Love This

“Sartre and Surrealism is a very rare volume I found years ago at MoMA- and a revelation. Add to that the marvelous Moss Hart autobiography Act One … plus that of his legendary partner George S. Kaufman; two Broadway giants, and two classics of American theater history.”

Having traveled to Cannes 38 times during the past two decades on behalf of Sony Pictures and Lionsgate, Peter Iacono knows the Côte d’Azur very well, and his partner, director and writer Flynn Kuhnert, knows its antiquaries--as well as those from São Paulo to Shanghai. An expert in the fine and decorative arts, Flynn has taught at Harvard and Duke, and together with Hutton Wilkinson, just finished a novel, The Walk to Elsie’s, about legendary decorator Elsie de Wolfe and her last protégé, Tony Duquette. This past July, Flynn shot a pilot in London for his very own show, A Very British Auction, featuring hidden country-house treasures.
