Whether you use it to serve appetizers or keep it on display as part of a tabletop tableau, this rectangular tray will add a quiet drama to its surroundings. The rim, adorned with slender strokes of gold leaf, accentuates the rich texture of the glass.
After a successful career in art direction for commercial photography, Tamara Childs began experimenting with gold leaf on her grandmother's old chair. This led to a new career creating designs on glass, by applying tissue-thin sheets of gold, silver, or other metals. Each piece is then polished by hand and lacquered. Most of the glass is designed exclusively by and for the Childs Studio, and because the items are crafted by hand, no two are exactly alike.
