Why We Love This

A color-rich print. The original painting was inspired by smearing effect of windshield wipers against glass.

Descended from a long line of artists in Europe and Quebec, Claire Desjardins creates work that it exuberantly colorful. In her abstract paintings, she explores the edge where color and form merge. In both 2011 and 2012, Desjardins was awarded a grant to attend the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont.

An offshoot of London’s famed Saatchi Gallery, Saatchi Online gives emerging artists a platform to show their work to a global audience. Just as important, it gives you the opportunity to discover and buy original paintings, photographs and prints by up-and-coming talents from more than 100 countries.
