As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Death in the Afternoon by Ernest Hemingway. London: Jonathan Cape, 1958. First Edition, 9th impression. A beautiful hardcover copy, in a very good unclipped jacket by de Turville of bull in ring. 358 pages with glossary and extensive section of 81 black white photographs. In many ways, the crucial book in the Hemingway canon, in which his personal code was most clearly defined. Slight fading to maroon top stain and jacket spine, with small foxing to book fore-edge.
