A wonderful map of eastern Long Island. Getting its name from the Montaukette tribe of Native Americans who lived in the area, Montauk is located at the tip of Long Island and has a rich and storied history. It was settled by Europeans early on, and is still home to New York State's oldest lighthouse and the oldest cattle ranch in the US. This area holds the nickname, "The Living End" (due to its geographic location) and is particularly famous for its natural, lush beauty, beaches that are excellent for surfing, and amazing fishing. This map is hand-drawn and printed on an old-fashioned letterpress to look like an authentic artifact. It is tinted with watercolor by the artist.
