Trunk is lined in gold satin with chrome-tanned leather lid accent that covers inner upper lip and center support. Comes with a new old-stock working Eagle lock and key set on solid copper base. Finished with multiple hand-rubbed coats of tung-oil. This is the most-sought-after design from Detroit trunk maker and is of the highest quality.
Cool, collectible, and fantastically versatile, these are trunks with a past--and a glowing future. Each wonderful antique has been meticulously hand-restored and repurposed as a one-of-a-kind work of art by Randall Barbera, who uses premium leather, rare woods, and centuries-old building and refinishing techniques to create the exquisite centerpieces here. "Punctuating the original design, and then taking it one step further to enhance its personality, is the ultimate goal," says Barbera, who spends a full six weeks on each. No two are alike.
