Why We Love This

Pair of circa-1930 art glass vases.

A well-known face on London’s vintage circuit, with her own stall on the world famous Portobello antique market, Scottish-born Emma Caderni is widely cherished for her specialist knowledge, natural eclecticism, and style. After graduating in Italian and History of Art, she joined Phillips auctioneers as a textile and costume specialist, first in Edinburgh, then in London, Florence, and Paris. Settling in London with her Italian husband, Emma went on to train at the London College of Fashion, subsequently creating her own label, a bespoke millinery business, providing creative headgear for the many occasions of the English “season.” After a break to raise her two sons, Emma founded Vintage London, sourcing and dealing in vintage couture clothes and accessories, as well as quirky and unusual works of art.
