Why We Love This

This antique trim is just spectacular. Red on the edges, then gold metal wire, a 1/2" wide purple stripe, back to gold and then red again, all interwoven through a marigold warp. Originally used on military uniforms, it would be magnificent as the border on a pillow or anything else you wanted to make more regal.

About Tinsel Trading Company

Tinsel Trading Company was founded in 1933 by Arch Bergoffen, who passed it on, along with his love for metallic trim, to his granddaughter Marcia Ceppos. We specialized in antique trims from France, but soon expanded to vintage adornments for garments and interior design, including flowers, tassels, ribbons, appliqués, passementerie and more. Based in the garment center in New York, we are presenting a curated selection from our archives.
