An original lithograph printed in colors on wove paper. This work is a fine impression of the definitive state, from the standard book edition (apart from the deluxe book edition of 150, and the pencil-signed and numbered edition of 80). One of eight lithographs published in Joan Miró Lithographs, Volume IV, the fourth volume of the catalogue raisonné of the artist’s work in the medium of lithography. Published by Maeght Édieur, Paris; printed by Atelier Mourlot, Paris.

Barcelona-born, Joan Miró was the immortal founder of a playful surrealism, and one of the visionaries who foresaw the birth of contemporary abstraction.

This work is part of a carefully curated selection by noted fine art expert Jennifer McCloskey, who was formerly affiliated with Doyle Gallery in New York and is now based in San Francisco. If you have questions about any of the works in this selection, please send an email to asktheexpert@onekingslane.com.
