The British artist David Hockney is a virtuoso, roving from portrait painting to photography and graphic works to this day. After finishing at the Royal College of Art in London, Hockney moved to California in the early 1960s, where he first achieved the flat, brilliantly colorful acrylics we think of today. While he had an early bent toward Pop Art, Hockney’s modern style of expressive color, inventive perspective, and total cool is all his own.

Rare Posters, Inc. offers one of the most comprehensive collections of fine art museum and exhibition posters and prints. Whether you're craving Chagall or Calder, vintage advertising images of the Monaco Grand Prix or illustrations from The Little Prince, these are the perfect choice when you're seeking something with the evocative powers of an original work of art.
