Why We Love This

A heartwarming etching from the original plate as drawn by the artist, and it is pencil numbered and signed. This American artist was a central figure of the New York realist school as a painter and as a printmaker. Classically trained and influenced by 19th century European figure studies, his later work addressed the life of ordinary women.
