A stunning work, inspired by the Muskoka Lakes in Northern Ontario. Working from one of his photographs of this beautiful area, the artist created this water-based painting. He mixed softly contrasting colors with a sponge to achieve the effects of light on the horizon. The blended photograph and painting was then printed on reclaimed white barn wood.
A visionary artist, Parvez Taj creates uniquely evocative works for the wall. Taj freely mixes media, including photography, software, and acrylics, to achieve his bold effects. He works with UV-cured inks and recycled wood, often reclaimed from rural buildings throughout the U.S., to minimize his impact on the environment. Taj was born in Canada and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. His works are entirely made in California.
