    A pastel drawing on wove paper, hand-signed lower right "Louis Legrand." This pastel drawing is a maquette for the etching and drypoint Le Cadre (Exteens 327; Arwas A445). This image was one of 30 etchings that were created by the artist to illustrate the 1914 book of poems selected by Legrand titled Poèmes à l'eáu forte, published by Gustave Pellet.

    This work is part of a carefully curated selection by noted fine art expert Jennifer McCloskey, who was formerly affiliated with Doyle Gallery in New York and is now based in San Francisco.
