A fine impression of Arwas' third and final state, printed after the plate was reduced in size. This work is hand-signed in pencil with the artist's monogram in the margin at the lower right, also signed in the plate at the upper right. It is one of only three impressions on this paper to which the artist added hand-coloring à la poupée, and is one of 11 etchings illustrating the Erastène Ramiro book Cours de danse fin de siècle, published by Dentu, Paris, 1892 and printed by Chamerot, Paris.

This work is part of a carefully curated selection by noted fine art expert Jennifer McCloskey, who was formerly affiliated with Doyle Gallery in New York and is now based in San Francisco. If you have questions about any of the works in this selection, please send an email to asktheexpert@onekingslane.com.
