A fine art giclée reproduction is from the original etching by Karl Joseph Brodtmann. Brodtmann was one of the most accomplished lithographers of his day as well as a printseller and bookseller. He lived in Zurich and Schaffhausen, Switzerland. This work is presented in a gesso and wood frame, hand-finished by craftsmen using traditional 17th-century Florentine techniques. The frame is finished in burr walnut.

When European designers need the perfect black-and-white photograph, they turn to the archives of the William Stafford Gallery. Based in London, the gallery sources evocative, memorable images from large and small collections across the globe. William Stafford is known for unearthing remarkable undiscovered works by the most important photographers. The combination of the finest paper and ink on each work guarantees perfect clarity for a minimum of 50 years.
