"Beautifully worn stitched-leather and chrome frame, 1980s. The Wassily Chair, also known as the Model B3 chair, was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925-1926."
Growing up in Argentina, Gustavo Olivieri would go to auctions with his father, who gave him reign over the bidder’s paddle. So it’s perhaps inevitable that Olivieri would become such an admired dealer of rare and collectible artwork, books, furniture, and lighting. An architect by training, he’s a collector by avocation, and his shops in Miami, East Hampton, and New York City are proof of his passion for beauty.
Classic Bauhaus design by Marcel Breuer popularly known
as the “Wassily Chair,” as it was dedicated to the abstract painter Kandinsky in 1927. Dimensions below are for each chair. Model B3. Seat front, 16"H; back, 12"H. Very comfortable.
