This beautiful painting gives us a quiet look at a sunlit landscape, with elegant trees and a mossy foreground. The work is printed on archival paper and set on a white mat. It is framed in silver-finished wood.
Steve Parker blends interior memory with exterior observation, such as changing light on a pond or a ray of light across a clearing, to create landscapes that evoke a feeling of remembrance of places of the past. In his words, "I am fascinated with the fleeting effects of light and shadows and constantly explore tonal relationships and changing color perceptions," he says. Parker teaches landscape and still life painting at the Art League of Houston and exhibits at the Jack Meier Gallery, among others.
