The process of weaving hand-knotted pile rugs is extremely difficult, taking some artisans months -- or even a few years to complete the most complex designs. Most Persian carpets use a symmetrical-style knot called the “Turkish knot” for coarser rugs or an asymmetrical Persian-style knot to achieve a more delicate design and profile. While Persian carpets come in myriad styles that range from rough to refined, the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into each one is unquestionably inspiring.
The Momeni family began importing premium Persian carpets to the United States more than 50 years ago.
