Why We Love This

A set of four fern prints taken from the book Nature-Printed British Ferns: Being Figures and Descriptions of the Species and Varieties of Ferns Found in the United Kingdom, written by Thomas Moore, published by Bradbury and Evans in London in 1863. Process involved pressing actual specimens in lead, transferring the image by electrotype to a copper plate, and then printing and hand-coloring each specimen.
