Why We Love This

The Last Whole Earth Catalog, Portola Institute, Menlo Park, CA, 1971, 1st printing. Unusual cloth-bound copy. The Whole Earth Catalog was a counterculture sensation in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This is the final edition of the initial sequence of the catalog, as issued by founders Stuart Brand and the Portola Institute. The Catalog provided "access to tools" as its masthead proudly proclaimed. Bound in rust boards, and as a result is in fine condition. Scarce thus.
