Why We Love This

This work is from an evocative series that was inspired by the artist’s love of literature and obsession with color. This series was created in anticipation of summer’s arrival, and one can feel the large, sunny energy underlying each brushstroke. This work is a print of the original, presented on a stretched canvas and ready to hang.

Rai Alexandra was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and raised by her grandmother, who encouraged her to think broadly and develop her artistic talents. Since then, Alexandra has lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, and India. Bold, multi-layered, and emotive, her work reflects her curiosity and wanderlust.
