As described by DNU - 20th Century by HKFA

An important vase by Hungarian ceramist Lili Markus (1900-1962). Markus came to ceramics later in life, but met with quick success. She and her family moved to England before WWII. Circa 1937, retailed by the famous New York City store, Carole Stupell. Probably made for the Hungarian Pavilion at the 1939 World's Fair Exhibition. Has been drilled for use as lamp.

DNU - 20th Century by HKFA

20th Century by HKFA is an important selection of well-curated 20th-century finds. My travels from Philadelphia to New York to Rio de Janeiro have helped to create 20th Century's distinctive style. Furniture to art to lighting and more, these are my favorite finds. Some are from my personal collection, others just found, all are fresh to the market.—Heather Karlie Vieira
