Pancrace Bessa (1772 -1834) was a French natural history artist, best known for his botanical illustrations. This is a fine art reproduction giclée print of an original held in the William Stafford archives. The gesso and wood frame was handcrafted using traditional 17th-century Florentine techniques, and hand-painted in cream with a Florentine silver gilded inner bevel.

William Stafford Gallery has a sterling reputation for its reproduction prints. The London-based gallery is a treasure trove of fine art prints, contemporary black-and-white photography, sepia photography, and works in color. By commissioning artists and photographers and then controlling all aspects of print production, the gallery ensures a consistently exceptional quality. Through its collaborations with master framemakers, they offer new and refreshing presentation ideas in pace with today's design trends.
