As described by Carlisle Gallery

Frederick W. Watts (1800-1870) landscape. Watts entered the Royal Academy in London and won several silver medals between 1819-1821. He exhibited at the Academy from 1821-1860, and at the British Institution from 1823-1862. Watts was strongly influenced by John Constable. Displayed in an elegant giltwood frame.
