Why We Love This

Serigraph on paper. The Santa Rosa was built in 1932 as a ship intended to traverse the route between the east and west coasts of the USA. The Santa Rosa, along with its sister ships, the Santa Elena and the Santa Paula, was transferred to a cruise route to the islands of the Caribbean, Colombia and Venezuela. Grace Line employed waitresses instead of stewards because they thought women were more courteous to passengers.

About Julia Santen Gallery

What do Elvis Presley, Vargas pinups and Moet & Chandon champagne have in common? They are all at the Julia Santen Gallery, ready to grace your walls in poster form. The gallery's array of original vintage poster art is impressive and encompasses the Belle Epoque, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and contemporary eras.
