Why We Love This

Paris Métro poster. The Paris Métro opened on July 19, 1900, with its first line running from the Porte de Vincennes to the Porte Maillot. Architect and designer Hector Guimard was responsible for the Art Nouveau entrances that still exist throughout the city today. In this whimsical poster, the metro is celebrated with reference to both American and French culture. Serigraph backed in linen.
