Why We Love This

The Gardener's Perpetual Almanack: A Book of Days by Martin Hoyle. New York: Thames Hudson, 1997. First American edition, unpaginated, but with a half-page or more devoted to each day of the year, offering daily horticultural advice and brief gardening essays accompanied by 233 illustrations, 54 in color. This a great book to dip into, and most charmingly produced. Very fine in floral boards, issued without a dust jacket.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
