A beautiful 'danmala' work composed of desert marigolds, Euphorbia gopher spurge, and agave blossoms on a toolbox, done in Cornville, Arizona. This is a print of the original work, which was made with the natural materials. The print is set off on a white mat in a white wood frame.
To create her works of art, Kathy Klein follows a spiritual path. She begins with meditation and then, in that quiet state, gathers flowers and natural objects. Responding to spiritual guidance, she sets the objects into patterns -- often radial designs that emanate a feeling of peace. She uses the word ‘danmala’ to describe her work; danmala is a combination of the Sanskrit words for ‘the giver’ and ‘garland of flowers.’ Klein lives and works in Arizona.
