Reclining figure of a woman, right hand to her breast. British, circa 1730.

Dubbed “the Mixmaster” by the shelter press, interior designer Eric Cohler expertly fuses classical and contemporary elements and marries layers of unexpected textures and colors. A frequent speaker and panelist, Cohler designs fabrics, furniture, and rugs for Lee Jofa and lighting for Visual Comfort. President and First Lady Obama selected one of his fabrics for the White House family dining room. His second book, Cohler on Art, is due out in 2015. He curated this sale with personally selected pieces from his house in southwest Georgia.
