Why We Love This

The Book of the Homeless, edited by Edith Wharton. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1916. Gray Cloth. Original articles in verse and prose with literary contributions by Hardy, James, Yeats, Conrad, Cocteau and an introduction by Theodore Roosevelt. Beautifully illustrated by Beerbohm, Sargent, Gerome, Monet, Renoir, Rodin and more. Some soiling and rubbing to boards, corners bumped, some minor scuffing to rear board, minor foxing. Lovely copy of this important and scarce work.
