A view of Sacré Cœur in Paris by Antonio DeVity (Italian, 1901-1993). DeVity was born in Reggio-Calabria in southern Italy. He later moved to Rome where he was taught by Giacomo Balla, creator of Futurism. DeVity's works have won international awards and he is recognized for his bright colors and impressionist treatment of the streets and waterways of Paris and Venice. Signed "A. DeVity," lower right. Painting, 24"H x 12"W. Displayed in original giltwood frame.
