As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Studio: Europe by John Groth. New York: Vanguard, 1945. Hardcover. First printing. Jacket is unclipped, with extensive edge wear. Groth was a war correspondent and artist who visited Europe during the final stages of World War II. His Daumier-like drawings depict the battle front and the lives of citizens. Notable for Hemingway's introduction and Groth's description of his warm welcome to Picasso's studio after the Liberation of Paris.
