This offset lithograph comes from a series of 347 works created by Pablo Picasso at the height of his printmaking period. It is a monochrome gravure, a type of intaglio print. Picasso also made etchings, aquatints, and mezzotints in this period, which lasted from March 16 to October 5, 1968. These magnificent works show the artist's mastery of the graphic technique; together, they are considered his finest printmaking achievement. This work is from the book edition. Includes a letter of tirage.

Pablo Picasso is arguably the most discussed, exhibited, and influential artist of the 20th Century. Together with Georges Bracques, he founded the Cubist movement, and continued to dominate the trajectory of Modern art through his long life.
